The 4th European Go Oza Title MatchJan Ramon represented Belgium for The 4th European Go Oza Title Match which was held from 31 January to 3 February in Amsterdam. He scored 2/4, beating one 5-dan. Korean student & Ambassador's cupA Korean student (who is a strong baduk player) is interested in studying in Belgium for one year. We are looking for accomodation. Any suggestions for free or cheap accomodation in a university city would be very appreciated. This would be a nice opportunity to have a strong go teacher. This year the BGF and the Korean embassy in Belgium will jointly organize a tournament called "Korean Ambassador's Cup" to directly select the Belgian representative at the Korean Prime Minister Cup, to be held in October in Korea. More details will follow.
Belgian Championship 2008Wang Yue, François Gonze, Pieter Beyens, Li Y Cheng and Kristof Bossee qualified for the finals of the Belgian Championship 2008. The place for the preliminaries of the Belgian championship was the club of Antwerpen. There were 22 participants. Wang Yue scored 7 wins, and 4 players scored 5 wins.

The 2nd Korea Prime Minister CupThe 2nd Korea Prime Minister Cup was held in Suwon city from 12 to 17 October.
Youth and Student Belgian Championship
Kristof Bossee from Gent won the Title of best belgian student and will represent Belgium in 2008 at the European Sutdent Go Championships in Nice. François Gonze and Thomas Connor both finished with 3/4. The best young player is Bruno Bossi from Brussels and is our representative for next year's European Youth Go Championships.
