Winner of the 2008 open european go championship is (expectfully) one Winner of this edition is Park Jong Wook, only player with 9 victories. Korean student & Ambassador's cupA Korean student (who is a strong baduk player) is interested in studying in Belgium for one year. We are looking for accomodation. Any suggestions for free or cheap accomodation in a university city would be very appreciated. This would be a nice opportunity to have a strong go teacher. This year the BGF and the Korean embassy in Belgium will jointly organize a tournament called "Korean Ambassador's Cup" to directly select the Belgian representative at the Korean Prime Minister Cup, to be held in October in Korea. More details will follow.
Belgian Championship 2008Wang Yue, François Gonze, Pieter Beyens, Li Y Cheng and Kristof Bossee qualified for the finals of the Belgian Championship 2008. The place for the preliminaries of the Belgian championship was the club of Antwerpen. There were 22 participants. Wang Yue scored 7 wins, and 4 players scored 5 wins.
